Does he still love me and/or want me back?

we have been together on and off for two years. we just broke up in april but have been living together and have remained best friends. we sleep together on occasion but don't kiss on the lips or cuddle or even sleep in the same bed. it was strictly "friends with benefits". but this past weekend we went up to my parents house and he was all snugly and close with me. we slept in the same bed even though we didn't have to.we cuddled and kissed. we had a family cookout function and he spent time and played games with my family and showed affection towards me in front of everyone. i sat on his lap and he tickled me and nibbled on my neck. i just feel like we are going back to how it used to be when we were together. could i be wrong?
