Where to fish in San Francisco Bay?

Hi, I live in San Jose, Ca and would like to do some fishing in the San Francisco Bay. But I didn't want to make the drive all the way into San Francisco to fish, so are there any spots at the bottom of the bay, such as in Palo Alto or any city along the bottom of the bay that allow fishing? Especially night fishing? Or any good spots near San Jose that have good night fishing? All help will be greatly appreciated.
