Why are people from Newport BEACH such snobs?

Seriously. When I run into folks from Newport BEACH the first comment after asking them where they are from is "I'm from Newport" as if there is only one Newport in the world. Then to even add more embarrassment to the conversation they say something to the affect of everywhere else outside of Newport BEACH is "different". Well, my snobbish person, how different? Not as affluent as you "think" in your mind? There's also Palo Alto, San Marino, Atherton, New York and many more. When looking at a list of the top affluent areas Newport BEACH isn't even listed. I'm so tired of the snobby attitudes from Newport as if they were a gift to the world. Puleez...its a land of spouses that sleep around and spend money because they arrogant.
